PM Visits the Rayong’s comprehensive waste management center with Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) technology

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha and senior government officials were accompanied by Dr. Toemchai Bunnag (3rd from left), President and Chief Executive Officer of Global Power Synergy Public Company or GPSC, the innovative power flagship of PTT Group, while they were visiting the Rayong’s comprehensive waste management center with Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) technology. It is a collaboration between GPSC and Rayong Provincial Administration Organization, which can manage up to 500 tons a day of community wastes. The project is one of GPSC’s strategy to comply with the government’s policies in order to solve waste management problems as well as to utilize waste to its utmost value such as converting waste to RDF. This would be the master plan to deal with the rising amount of waste, particularly in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), where it is expected to sustainably boost Thai economy as a whole.
