Main Responsibilities :

The position is responsible for the safe, environmentally compliant and reliable local operation of a power and utilities generating facility equipment, sub systems and auxiliary system while on shift. He supports the implementation of all operations management programs and strategies.

The incumbent will undertake analysis and diagnose all operational related issues, while working on shift in the plant in order to integrate existing policies and processes as directed and closely work with assistant shift leader who is direct commander of the responsibility areas. He provides hands on support across a wide range of operational areas including close support and understanding of the plants maintenance planning, water and boiler water feed water chemistry and testing routines.

1. Operations, procedures, abnormal operations & shift turnover

  • Be responsible for operations on plant systems as directed during the shift.
  • As identified or directed report or improve any abnormal condition.
  • Be responsible to follow all written procedures. Respond to critical and important abnormal operations and emergency conditions as they may arise.
  • Attend all shift team organization and communication functions (rotating shifts)

2. Permit to work, environmental, health and safety representative.

  • Be responsible for any – all issues related to EH&S statutory or otherwise you may encounter during the shit.
  • Support the maintenance team in Lock out tag out procedures.
  • Ensure that the plant is operated in compliance with environmental legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Report any excursion.

3. Objectives and annual plan including training

  • Follow up for your shifts operating strategies, following the SL, CCR and O&M policies, guidelines and procedures.
  • Develop the technical knowledge of his operators.

4. Budget, economics & efficiency and purchasing

  • Support and monitor all operational variable consumption and report.

Qualification :

  • High Vocational or Bachelor of Engineering
  • Experience at least 2 Year

The position is responsible for performing the Control and Instrumentation maintenance activities related to the power and utilities generating facility, C&I discipline hand on skill. The position works within the boundaries of instruction manual, procedure, all established Maintenance management programs and apply strategies related to his trade

The incumbent will utilize resources and report findings for diagnoses of the C&I maintenance related issues, apply the right tool and Work Instructions while working in strict compliance with existing policies and processes and providing hands on repairs across the C&I maintenance areas including close work with and studying the plants operational characteristics. To lead his subcontractor team to make sure work follow by Work Instruction and Safety Policies.      To perform and delivery Computer skill, DCS technology skill to cover installed hard ware in the power plant.

Principal Accountabilities

  1. Periodic and non-periodic Maintenance
    • Execute preventive and corrective, periodic and non-periodic maintenance tasks.
  2. Periodic Tests and Inspections
    • Execute periodic tests and inspections on plant systems either imposed by legislation or to prove equipment reliability and availability.
  3. Maintenance and Inspection Plan
    • Work with software based periodic maintenance and inspection plan when directed.
    • Identifies and may resolve or make recommendations for standard problems with devices, and systems through inspection and maintenance, or after system/equipment installation/failure
