GPSC has been listed again as a member of DJSI in the category of Emerging Markets Index for Electric Utilities Industry of the year 2023 for the second consecutive year, reaffirming its success in sustainable business operation based on environmentally friendly energy innovations according to the 4S strategy, which is designated to increase the proportion of renewable energy to more than 50% in 2030 and reduce greenhouse gas emissions to Net Zero by 2060.

Mr. Worawat Pitayasiri, President and Chief Executive Officer of Global Power Synergy Public Company Limited or GPSC, the innovative power flagship of PTT Group, revealed that GPSC has been chosen as a member of Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) in the category of Emerging Markets Index for Electric Utilities Industry of the year 2023, which is the second year in a row, reflecting the company’s relentless commitment to operate its business for sustainability.

"DJSI, established by S&P Global, is considered an index of securities of the world's leading companies that have been subjected to sustainability assessments according to economic, social and environmental indicators. Thereby, the said securities can guarantee the sustainable returns for investors, including the long-term value for stakeholders as to the sustainable development guidelines. Thus, this also reinforces the success of GPSC as it has been accepted in DJSI in the category of Emerging Markets Index for Electric Utilities Industry for the second consecutive year,” Mr. Worawat said.
