Petroleum pitch, which is a by-product of the refinery process of the CFP that cannot be reused in the production process nor can improve quality of the refinery, will be used as raw material of ERU because it has suitable thermal energy property. It is expected that approximately 1,200 tons per day of petroleum pitch will be used as main fuel for production of electricity and steam to be delivered back for use in the production process of the CFP.
