GPSC signed the credit facility agreements with TMBThanachart Bank, Kiatnakin Phatra Bank, and Export-Import Bank of Thailand worth total 7,000 million baht, with an intention to gear up clean energy businesses, both domestically and internationally, and meanwhile create reliability in energy security. This is in accordance with the organization's strategies as the decarbonization champion role for PTT group and to drive GPSC toward Net Zero Emissions.

Mr. Thitipong Jurapornsiridee, Chief Financial Officer of Global Power Synergy Public Company or GPSC, the innovative power flagship of PTT Group, revealed that recently GPSC organized a signing ceremony for the financial support agreement with the three financial institutions at GPSC office, Energy Complex Building, Chatuchak, Bangkok. The aforementioned financial institutions include TMBThanachart Bank (TTB) 5,000 million baht, Kiatnakin Phatra Bank (KKP) 1,000 million baht, and Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Bank) 1,000 million baht; thereby, the total financial support of 7,000 million baht is designated for GPSC to rebalance GPSC’s loan portfolio and promote investment in clean energy both locally and globally.

These 3 financial institutions support GPSC and enhance the company's financial strength. This enable GPSC to expand the clean energy businesses, which is considered the key growth strategy, emphasizing the expansion of renewable energy power plants aligning with the decarbonization champion role for PTT group while enhancing electricity reliability and driving new business growth in order to catch up with the changes of global energy trends while conforming to Thailand's National Energy Plan, which emphasizes on clean energy and Net Zero.

GPSC prioritizes the production and distribution of electricity, steam, and utilities to ensure energy system stability for industrial customers. Currently, GPSC achieves over 65% of its total power generation capacity from renewable energy by 2026 and aims to continuously expand investments both domestically and internationally. In the meantime, the company is determined to become one of the top three leading companies in sustainable energy innovations in Southeast Asia, and achieve the targets of Carbon Neutrality by 2050 and Net Zero Emissions by 2060 aligned with global advancements in energy technology and innovation, emphasizing sustainable energy use to support the country's economic, social, and environmental development.
