Glow Energy Solar

Glow Energy Solar Power Plant was developed to support Thailand's target of increasing renewable energy production and it commenced commercial operation on 1 August 2012 selling the produced energy to PEA under Very Small Power Producer (VSPP) program. This plant, with installed capacity of 1.55 MW, is Glow’s first renewable electricity power plant and it shows the Group’s ambition to grow its renewable energy business. 31,000 thin film PV modules, which are designed and manufactured by Bangkok Solar Co., Ltd., are installed on over 50,000 square meters at Asia Industrial Estate, Rayong province. The nominal power of each PV module is 50 Watt and they are connected to the grid via 6 @ 250 kW inverters. Annual generation is expected to be ca. 2,000,000 kWh, which is enough to supply annual consumption of approximately 1,400 typical Thai households. Approximately 1,155,000 kg of CO2-emissions is avoided each year of operation, compared to Thai baseline for CO2 emissions.
