On 29 April 2024, H.E. Mr. Jyri Järviaho, Ambassador of Finland to Thailand, along with Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, and his team, paid a visit to the Waste to Energy Learning Center which is operated by Global Power Synergy Public Company Limited or GPSC, the innovative power flagship of PTT Group. Thereby, all the honorable visitors were warmly welcomed by Mr. Sitthichai Thaisaen, RDF Operations Manager of GPSC, who also gave the briefing of business overview on waste management and the production of electricity from RDF (Refuse Derived Fuel).

GPSC’s RDF Power Plant is regarded as the first model of comprehensive waste management in Rayong Province, relying on the world-class innovative technology from Finland in order to convert municipal solid waste into electrical energy. It is expected that the waste management in this way can effectively solve the garbage problem and meanwhile create added value to municipal solid waste.
