Dr. Kongkrapan Intarajang, Chief Operating Officer of Upstream Petrochemical Business, PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited or GC and Mr. Chawalit Tippawanich, President and Chief Executive Officer of Global Power Synergy Public Company Limited or GPSC, have signed a service agreement to invest in Smart Energy Storage System (ESS). This new technology will be used to increase efficiency of Gas Turbine as well as improve power stability of GC operation in Rayong province.

As an innovative power flagship of PTT Group, GPSC has selected ESS technology that matches the needs of GC office in Rayong province, where the ESS system will help increase efficiency substantially from 2019 onwards. Moreover, ESS is expected to play a major role in the future power optimization for major industries including olefin plant that produces plastic packaging, electronic equipment and coating products for furniture and car components of GC Group. Moreover, the ESS system would also help store and save power from renewable sources, promoting green energy usage worldwide.
