GPSC has earned the Bronze Class distinction for Electric Utilities industry in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2022*, marking the company’s success in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) assessment for the second year running, solidifying its position as a world-class leader in sustainable energy innovation.

Mr. Worawat Pitayasiri, President and Chief Executive Officer of Global Power Synergy Public Company Limited or GPSC, the innovative power flagship of PTT Group, disclosed that the recognition marks a major achievement for the company. The inclusion of GPSC in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2022 and received S&P Global Sustainability Award 2022 in Bronze Class with the highest score in the social dimension among its peers in the Electric Utilities industry is a testimony to the company’s outstanding sustainable business operations, which align with the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI). The recognition will further establish trust and confidence in the company at an international level as a leading developer of energy innovation and technology for sustainability.

The Sustainability Yearbook showcases the sustainability performance of over 7,000 companies in 61 industries worldwide, which was rated across the economic, environmental, and social dimensions. The top 15% of the companies from each industry will be included in the globally-recognized Sustainability Yearbook, with three awards criteria: Gold Class (score is within 1% of the top performing company’s score in their industry), Silver Class (score is within the range of 1-5% of the industry’s top-performing’s score), and Bronze Class (score is within the range of 5-10% of the industry’s top-performing company’s score), gaining further recognition and trust from investors and stakeholders alike.
