GPSC was awarded with the AAA rating in the SET ESG Ratings 2024, reaffirming its success in the development of clean energy innovations locally and globally. This also clearly reflects the company’s effective risk management based on ESG principles with an effort to accommodate the changes of global trends and strengthen its businesses for sustainability.

Mr. Worawat Pitayasiri, President and Chief Executive Officer of Global Power Synergy Public Company Limited or GPSC, the innovative power flagship of PTT Group, revealed that the progress in the improvement of innovative power businesses domestically and internationally, along with the great determination to seek technologies and innovations that can enhance energy management and reduce Carbon dioxide emissions, has entitled GPSC to be awarded with the "AAA" rating in Resources Industry Group in the SET ESG Ratings 2024, up from the AA rating in the previous year. Thereby, GPSC is one of the 56 listed companies that have been rated with the highest level of ESG (AAA) by the SET ESG Ratings 2024, in which 320 companies took part in the assessment.

The AAA rating this year obviously reflects GPSC's commitment to conducting business in a sustainable manner in all dimensions, focusing particularly on the principles of good governance and the cautious risk management in order to prepare for the emerging risks as well as the social and environmental changes in the future. All of these are believed to lead to the increased efficiency of business and the competitiveness of the company. Meanwhile, the company also places importance on all stakeholders and the progress of business development with an aim to create growth and good returns; therefore, the company keeps seeking new technologies that can be utilized to implement the clean energy power plant projects with competitive costs. All of the aforementioned are consistent with the global energy trends that turn to place an intense emphasis on the preservation of environment so as to cope with the problems of rising global temperatures.
