On 21 December 2021, Mr. Narongchai Visutrachai, Senior Vice President Government Relations and Public Affairs of Global Power Synergy Public Company Limited or GPSC, the innovative power flagship of PTT Group, together with Dr. Tanyakorn Muangnapoh, a researcher in the nano-coating research team at the National Nanotechnology Center (Nanotec), the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) and Mr. Kiatsayam Limtrakul, Director of Sakaeo College of Agriculture and Technology, brought the Light for a Better Life project to Sakaeo College of Agriculture and Technology with an installation of a 30 kW rooftop solar on the Farm Mechanics Department Building. The joint initiative between GPSC and NSTDA makes use of nano-coating technology to enhance solar panel efficiency, thus improving dust resistance, prolonging durability, and reducing maintenance costs.

The project will not only serve as the college’s solar energy learning center in the future but will also help reduce electricity costs, which will enable the college to provide greater support to financially disadvantaged students in their investment in agricultural enterprises.
