GPSC joins hands with SC Asset to develop clean energy innovations along with energy management systems designated for the projects of housing estates and condominiums. This is regarded as a cooperation model that will be extended in other projects; and at the meantime, the companies are ready to innovate the new power business models in response to global energy trends and consumers’ needs while focusing on environmental friendliness and energy efficiency.

On 7 July 2022, Mrs. Rosaya Teinwan, Executive Vice President - Business Development, of Global Power Synergy Public Company Limited (GPSC), the innovative power flagship of PTT Group, revealed that GPSC had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Mr. Direk Tayakee, Head of Tech Solutions, SC Asset Corporation Public Company Limited (SC Asset), to implement the project of renewable energy and energy innovation development designated for SC Asset's development plans, including detached houses, townhomes, condominiums and office buildings. The said MOU, covering a period of 2 years, also includes the application of modern energy technologies and energy management systems in the areas of development plans for the maximum energy efficiency.

As a company specialized particularly in electricity generation and infrastructure systems and as the Power Flagship of PTT Group, GPSC will join hands with SC Asset to study the feasibility and develop power infrastructure along with the efficient management in the project areas. In addition, the company plans to employ the innovations and the technologies that are environmentally friendly and meanwhile highly responding to the needs of consumers in the said areas.

For SC Asset part, Mr. Direk Tayakee, Head of Tech Solutions, said, “The collaboration with GPSC shall be deemed as a model of development of clean energy innovations that can accommodate the future global trends related to the projects of detached houses, townhomes, condominiums and office buildings under the policy of SCero Mission. This is for all generations in the future to grow up in the world of new normal while adding values to the environment in a sustainable manner.”

This cooperation is considered an important step for the two organizations to jointly study and carry out the development of energy management systems for real estate projects. Also, it is regarded as a model for the management of power in the future, and it can be further extended to the development of new power business models that emphasize the use of clean energy combined with technologies and innovations in order to bring about the maximum efficiency and expand the results of study and development to other projects. According to the recent global trend of environmentally friendly energy, this collaboration is also the preparation for the upcoming transition to clean energy, heading towards Carbon Neutrality and Net Zero Emission.

Mrs. Rosaya added that the joint operation plan is concerning the study of directions, strategies, technical feasibility, markets, and price structures in order to develop business models and cooperation models that focus on the reduction of production costs, the energy efficiency, and the stability of power system. The scopes of cooperation and development are as follows:

1. Power generation from clean energy combined with the use of batteries as energy storage system and backup power system.
2. Development of energy management systems for use in the project areas, e.g., office buildings for rent, to achieve the maximum energy efficiency and save the energy at the same time.
3. Study and development of other business models, such as electrical safety systems for homes and buildings.
4. Trial of applications related to energy management system or other relevant applications with the Super Application of SC Asset in order to support Smart Home technology.

The aforementioned cooperation is regarded as the development of power innovation systems that can be accessed by general public and make the ultimate use of power with maximum efficiency. This will be an important option corresponding to the government's guidelines about the promotion of clean and environmentally friendly energy.
