Recently, Professor Dr. Supot Teachavorasinskun, Chairman of the Board, along with the Board of Directors and executives of Global Power Synergy Public Company Limited or GPSC, the innovative power and smart energy flagship of PTT Group, visited Doosan enerbility Co.,Ltd. or Doosan, specializing in the industrial power generation operating businesses involving power plant, nuclear plant, renewable energy plant, and many others in the Republic of Korea.

The visit aims to follow up progress of Development of Ammonia Co-Firing and Carbon-Free Energy Solutions, the operations in which Doosan has been conducted for over 129 years. The company is recognized as one of the global leading manufacturing and top engineering enterprises with expertise and extensive experience in diverse types of power plant constructions.

On this occasion, GPSC executives conducted a site visit to observe the production process of SMR Core Reactor parts. Doosan is widely recognized as the world’s best company and the most trusted foundry among the global leading core reactor manufacturers including NUSCALE Co., Ltd., X-energy Co., Ltd., TerraPower Co., Ltd., and many more.

GPSC trusts that the Republic of Korea is transforming as the world’s crucial key-driver for SMR technology as the country has been serving as nuclear plant hub with over 50-year experiences under the directive of public sector with approval licenses. Above all, Doosan, the leading engineering firm and key manufacturer of SMR core reactor technology has dedicated its expertise in driving the country forward. This visit has facilitated the exchange of knowledge beyond SMR technology, the site visit encompassing observation of production process, market outlook, and SMR technology demands across the industries. GPSC has gathered valuable insights as well as strengthening relationships with companies across the renewable energy and SMR technology value chains.
