On March 16, 2026, Mr. Sirimet Leepakorn, President and Acting Chief Operating Officer of Global Power Synergy Public Company Limited or GPSC, the innovative power flagship of PTT Group, delivered a 5-kilowatt solar power generation system to Wat Pa Thammatharapirom in Chiang Mai Province. The system was received by Phra Ajarn Maha Chalermraj Chatapanyo, the abbot of the temple. The solar system will be installed on the roof of the Nippitaram building to support environmentally friendly electricity usage and enhance convenience for monks and visitors practicing Dhamma at the temple. The system is expected to reduce the temple’s electricity expenses by over 30,000 baht per year and cut greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 3,900 kilograms of carbon dioxide equivalent (kgCO2eq) annually. This initiative reflects the commitment of GPSC and PTT to advancing business alongside social responsibility in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), aiming to strengthen accessible energy security and contribute to a tangible low-carbon society.
