On 13 July 2026, Global Power Synergy Public Company Limited (GPSC), the innovative power flagship of the PTT Group, hosted the “GPSC MTP Customer Knowledge Sharing Conference 2026” at Amari Pattaya. The event brought together more than 100 industrial customers to exchange knowledge on low-carbon energy and foster a shared understanding the role of Small Modular Reactor (SMR) technology in supporting Thailand’s clean energy transition.

The conference focused on exploring and exchanging perspectives on the potential of Small Modular Reactor (SMR) technology as an emerging low-carbon energy solution for the future. The program featured two key sessions: “SMR and Thailand’s Energy Future: Policy and Regulatory Perspectives” by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wongkot Wongapai, Deputy Executive Director of the Office of National Higher Education Science Research and Innovation Policy Council (NXPO), and “The Next Chapter of Net Zero – SMRs” by Mr. Sirimet Leepagorn, President and Acting Chief Operating Officer of GPSC.

SMR is one of the promising alternative energy technologies with the potential to enhance Thailand’s energy security, reduce carbon emission, and strengthen the competitiveness of the industrial sector. However, its development requires comprehensive preparation in policy, legal frameworks, safety standards, and public understanding, supported by close collaboration among all stakeholders, including the government, academic, the private sector, and the public sector. The event reflected GPSC’s role as an energy partner for industrial customers, its commitment to delivering innovative clean energy solutions and its partnership with customers to achieve the shared goal of Sustainability to Net Zero in a concrete and collaborative manner.
